Global Supply Chain and Covid

Due to Covid, our global supply chain has been greatly affected. Certain items have a lengthy backorder, and other items are unable to fill because materials can not be sourced for specific pieces.

Media reports of cargo ships waiting outside of ports for months is an unfortunate example of why Vendors are having a hard time sourcing materials, and why there are products unavailable. We are unable to control the supply chain, and the Vendors are at the mercy of shipping disruptions due to Covid.

Things to be aware of due to supply chain disruptions:

  1. When an item is listed as "in stock", please keep in mind that it can change at a moments notice. Another designer may purchase seconds before your order, and you may now be on the waitlist for when it will be back in stock. Certain pieces can not be ordered in bulk because of material shortages, so only small amounts are ordered. It is best to keep your "place in line", and when it is available for shipping again, it will be sent out based off of when orders were received by the Vendor. We're sorry for this inconvenience and appreciate all of your patience during these unprecedented times.

  2. We do our very best to keep up with the ever changing availability of our products. If there is a specific timeframe that you need an item by, please do not hesitate to reach out via the chat icon on your SideDoor homepage and let us know the product and when you need it by. We will call the Vendor directly and double check lead times so that you can have the most accurate up-to-date information as possible.

  3. We are your advocates here at SideDoor. As frustrating as this market is right now, it would be even more frustrating to have to deal with Vendors and source items solo! We love being your go-to for anything you may need. If there is an item that isn't able to be filled at the current moment, we will do everything in our power to find another piece that you love just as much if not more.
